Douro Valley is most definitely worth a visit at any time of the year. There are plenty of things to experience all over the region: From simple things such as bread and olive oil to traditional boat cruising, you can have a superb lunch with fantastic views all paired with great wine tastings and wine cellars visits, hiking through small and typical vilages, always sorounded by unbelievable landscapes. Our Douro Valley Tour usually starts at your accommodation place around 08:15 AM. You will reach Peso da Régua and enjoy a bautiful walking tour contemplating the river sights around 10:00 AM. Afterwards, you'll head towards Casal de Loivos to taste tradicional portuguese wine, olive oil and honey. Later, you'll be moving to Pinhão to experience a classic boat cruise. Finaly you’ll have the privilege to relish in a portuguese lunch table, paired with breathtaking views at a typical family’s winery house, followed by a tasting of their own personal wine. After some pictures and landscapes you will head up to Amarante, a small village where you can taste local products accompained with a taste of "verde" wine (The name means "green wine," but translates as "young wine"). You will be back to Porto around 06:00 PM, pleased, satisfied and content.
